Programme Overview
The CKG Young Women’s Empowerment Programme is a gender-specific motivation and life-skills initiative targeting girls aged 12 to 17 years. This vital intervention provides adolescent girls with a safe, supportive space to explore gender identity, sexual and reproductive health, emotional well-being, and social responsibility.
The program aims to prevent early sexual debut, teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HIV/AIDS, and gender-based violence, while motivating girls to make positive life-choices, complete their education, and grow into confident, informed young women.
Purpose of the Programme
To empower girls with knowledge, self-awareness, and critical life-skills to:
- Navigate gender relations and peer influence
- Understand their bodies, rights, and responsibilities
- Make informed decisions about sexuality and relationships
- Resist risky behavior and social pressures
- Avoid early pregnancy, STIs, and school dropout
- Become role models and change-makers in their communities

Programme Activities
🗣️ Peer Dialogue Circles
Girls share experiences, voice concerns, and support one another in safe, respectful spaces guided by trained female facilitators.
📚 Life-Skills and Health Workshops
Interactive, engaging sessions with visuals, role-play, storytelling, and group work to build confidence and health literacy.
👩🏫 Mentorship and Positive Role Models
Access to caring female mentors who inspire and guide girls on personal, academic, and life challenges.
💬 Parent and Caregiver Engagement
Where possible, parents and guardians are included to reinforce support at home and improve girl-parent communication.
Target Group
- Girls aged 12–17
- In-school and vulnerable girls at risk of dropout, abuse, or teen pregnancy
