SayPro CEO Neftaly Malatjie Declares a “Kingdom of Development” for NPOs at Capacity Building Training Event

Southern Africa Youth Project Headquarters, 24–26 June 2025

In a powerful and visionary address during the SayPro Capacity Building Training for NPOs Programme, held from 24 to 26 June 2025 at the Southern Africa Youth Project headquarters in Johannesburg, SayPro CEO and leader of Development Neftaly Malatjie inspired nonprofit leaders by introducing the concept of a “Kingdom of Development.”

“We must build a Kingdom of Development,” said Malatjie. “A space where every organization, every leader, and every initiative works together for the betterment of our communities—where growth, innovation, and sustainability are not optional, but a shared mission.”

Malatjie’s message struck a chord with the audience of nonprofit professionals, community leaders, and youth development advocates. His call to action encouraged organizations to move beyond basic survival, and toward building strong, integrated systems that foster long-term growth, collaboration, and measurable impact.

The three-day programme was designed to strengthen nonprofit leadership through intensive training in:

  • Organizational development and strategic planning
  • Monitoring and evaluation for sustainable impact
  • Financial governance and donor reporting
  • Technology for nonprofit transformation
  • Risk management and documentation systems

Malatjie emphasized that building a “kingdom” means investing in people, processes, and partnerships. He challenged NPOs to lead with vision, manage with discipline, and serve with integrity—creating an ecosystem where communities thrive because organizations are empowered and united in purpose.

One participant reflected, “Hearing Neftaly speak about a ‘Kingdom of Development’ made me rethink our role. We are not just helping people—we are shaping the future of Africa through leadership and innovation.”

The SayPro Capacity Building Programme is part of the organization’s larger mission to empower nonprofit organizations with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to grow and lead change across the continent.
