1. Purpose

This Code of Conduct sets the standards of behavior expected from all CKG staff and volunteers to foster a respectful, safe, and effective environment for the communities we serve.


2. Core Values

  • Respect: Treat everyone with dignity, kindness, and fairness.
  • Compassion: Demonstrate Christ-like love and care to all, especially the vulnerable.

  • Confidentiality: Protect sensitive information about individuals and the organization.

3. Expected Behaviors

  • Respect for Others:
    • Listen attentively and respond kindly to beneficiaries, colleagues, and community members.
    • Avoid any form of discrimination, harassment, or abuse, including bullying or exploitation.
  • Professionalism:
    • Arrive on time and fulfill your assigned duties responsibly.
    • Use organizational resources wisely and only for authorized purposes.
    • Dress appropriately and maintain a neat appearance.
  • Confidentiality:
    • Keep personal and sensitive information confidential unless disclosure is required by law or policy.
    • Seek permission before sharing any photos or stories from beneficiaries.
  • Boundaries:
    • Maintain appropriate boundaries in relationships with beneficiaries, avoiding favoritism or inappropriate conduct.
    • Do not accept gifts, money, or favors that could be perceived as bribery or influence.
  • Health and Safety:
    • Follow all safety protocols and report hazards or incidents immediately.
    • Abstain from any substance abuse or behavior that could impair your work or the organization’s reputation.

4. Prohibited Conduct

  • Physical or verbal abuse, harassment, or discrimination.
  • Sexual misconduct or exploitation of beneficiaries or colleagues.
  • Dishonesty, theft, or misuse of funds and property.
  • Breach of confidentiality or data protection policies.
  • Any behavior that contradicts CKG’s faith values or mission.

5. Reporting and Accountability

  • Staff and volunteers are encouraged to report any breaches of this Code to their supervisor or the designated ethics officer.
  • CKG will investigate all reports promptly and confidentially, protecting whistleblowers from retaliation.
  • Violations may lead to disciplinary action, including termination.

6. Faith and Witness

As Citizens in the Kingdom of God, staff and volunteers are ambassadors of Christ’s love and truth. Your conduct should inspire trust, reflect God’s grace, and advance CKG’s mission of transformation.


7. Acknowledgment

All staff and volunteers are required to read, understand, and sign this Code of Conduct upon joining CKG and renew their commitment annually.
