SayPro CEO Neftaly Malatjie: “Every Problem Is Going to Be a Solution for You to Grow” – Inspires NPO Leaders to Embrace Challenges

Southern Africa Youth Project Headquarters, 24–26 June 2025

The SayPro Capacity Building Training for NPOs Programme, hosted from 24 to 26 June 2025 at the Southern Africa Youth Project headquarters in Johannesburg, brought together nonprofit professionals, youth leaders, and development practitioners for three days of intensive skills development, leadership training, and motivation.

Delivering a message of resilience and transformation, SayPro CEO and leader of Development, Neftaly Malatjie, encouraged attendees to shift their mindset when facing challenges.

“Every problem is going to be a solution for you to grow,” said Malatjie. “Do not run from difficulties—they are shaping you into the leader your organization and your community needs.”

Malatjie’s empowering statement reminded nonprofit leaders that setbacks, obstacles, and hardships are not signs of failure, but opportunities for learning and development. He emphasized the importance of embracing adversity with courage and using every challenge as a stepping stone to build stronger, more sustainable organizations.

Throughout the training, participants engaged in sessions focused on:

  • Strategic leadership and resilience
  • Financial and operational risk management
  • Monitoring and evaluation for impact
  • Conflict resolution and crisis planning
  • Organizational growth through adaptive learning

Participants were encouraged to reflect on past challenges and reframe them as learning opportunities. Malatjie emphasized that every organization—no matter how small or new—will face difficulties, but it’s how leaders respond that determines long-term success.

One participant shared, “When Mr. Malatjie said that every problem can become a solution, it hit home. I realized that our toughest moments have actually prepared us for the breakthroughs we’re now seeing.”

SayPro continues to champion nonprofit leadership across Southern Africa through practical training, mentorship, and motivational support. With its unique blend of technical education and personal development, the organization remains a leading force in empowering community-driven change.
