1. Purpose

This policy outlines CKG’s commitment to empowering youth and women to develop spiritually, socially, and economically — recognizing their God-given identity, dignity, and potential.

We aim to:

  • Create opportunities for capacity-building, leadership, and self-sufficiency.
  • Address barriers such as poverty, unemployment, GBV, and lack of access to skills.
  • Promote a Christ-centered model of empowerment based on justice, compassion, and purpose.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All youth (ages 15–35) and women engaged in or served by CKG programs.
  • All CKG staff, volunteers, and program facilitators delivering empowerment initiatives.
  • All project sites, including Delft, Engcobo, outreach areas, and online platforms.

3. Key Principles

CKG is guided by the following principles:

  • Biblical Identity: Every youth and woman is a beloved Citizen in the Kingdom of God.
  • Participation: Youth and women must be included in decisions that affect their lives.
  • Equality: Discrimination based on gender, age, or background will not be tolerated.
  • Dignity: Empowerment must honor each individual’s unique strengths and story.
  • Capacity: We invest in building real, sustainable skills and leadership.

4. Empowerment Focus Areas

CKG will implement programs that empower youth and women in the following areas:

4.1 Spiritual Growth

  • Bible studies, mentorship, and discipleship groups focused on identity, purpose, and calling.
  • Opportunities to serve as Kingdom leaders in churches, communities, and CKG programs.

4.2 Skills Development

  • Vocational training: tailoring, construction, farming, digital skills, hairdressing, etc.
  • Entrepreneurship workshops and business startup support.
  • Career guidance and access to job readiness resources.

4.3 Health and Wellbeing

  • Reproductive health, mental health, and HIV/AIDS awareness programs.
  • Counseling, trauma healing, and GBV survivor support groups.
  • Sports, arts, and cultural activities that promote mental and social wellness.

4.4 Leadership and Advocacy

  • Leadership development for youth and women in community and ministry settings.
  • Opportunities to participate in advocacy for justice, equality, and social change.
  • Platforms to speak, lead, and inspire others (e.g., youth forums, women’s conferences).

5. Roles and Responsibilities

5.1 Board and Management

  • Ensure youth and women empowerment is a core part of CKG’s strategy.
  • Approve budgets and policies that support empowerment programs.

5.2 Program Staff and Volunteers

  • Plan and implement inclusive, culturally relevant empowerment activities.
  • Ensure that women and youth participate actively and safely.
  • Monitor progress and report on impact.

5.3 Community Partners

  • Collaborate with schools, churches, and local authorities to expand reach and impact.
  • Offer referrals and shared spaces for program delivery.

6. Safeguarding and Inclusion

  • All programs will adhere to CKG’s Child Protection and Gender-Based Violence policies.
  • We will ensure that women and youth with disabilities or from disadvantaged backgrounds are not excluded.
  • Participants must be treated with respect and never exploited or harmed.

7. Monitoring and Evaluation

  • CKG will collect and analyze data on program attendance, outcomes, and success stories.
  • Feedback from participants will be used to improve services and outreach.
  • Annual reports will include updates on empowerment outcomes and stories of transformation.

8. Faith Foundation

CKG believes that youth and women are vital to the spiritual and social growth of their communities. We are committed to helping them discover their purpose and walk boldly as Citizens in the Kingdom of God, equipped for life and leadership.


9. Policy Review

This policy will be reviewed every two years or sooner if needed. Updates must be approved by the Board and shared with all staff and stakeholders.
